HISTORY OF THE ORGANIZATION

NACA® was organized in 1976 by a group of highly qualified catastrophe adjusters. The association is dedicated to improving professional standards, insuring working relations with one another and promoting the general welfare of the individual members.

Our Mission is to provide a professional organization focused on excellence in catastrophe insurance adjusting for members through education, shared resources, and technology.

  • NACA Annual Convention
March 2018 We would like to thank NACA for your convention in January 2018. Sheri and I are transitioning from contracting into adjusting. It was recommended by Cherie Kaltenbach, that if we wanted to kick off things in the adjusting field, that we attend the Las Vegas Convention. We are very grateful for that advice. We found that the format for interviewing was just what we needed. The IA firms were very open to talking to us as a husband-wife team and we had many positive interactions. We were successful in getting added to quite a number of rosters. We found the network event at TopGolf to be very worthwhile. During the convention, we heard about the Mentor Program and decided to invest our time and resources into this program. We have completed the online portion and are looking forward to the field portion. We want to express our thanks to each of those who spent time with us and invested into our lives by sharing their knowledge and experience in the industry. We were impressed by the family atmosphere of care and concern by members of NACA. We truly felt cared for. If you have thought about coming to the Annual Convention, we highly recommend you schedule time to come in 2019. It will be well worth the investment of time and money. Gerry & Sheri Weir

  • Jennifer says,
NACA's Convention is our 'can't miss' vendor show of the year for meeting the best claim professionals in the industry. We always have a great time and can't wait for this year's show.

  • NACA is the Key!
I believe NACA is the key to harnessing the opportunities in the catastrophe insurance adjusting business. NACA members are professional, educated catastrophe adjusters that have a clear sense of purpose and personal responsibility. It is a pleasure to interact and learn from other members. I serve on the Executive Committee of the NACA organization because NACA has helped me so much through education and resources. To all who have served before me, thank you for your extraordinary service to our organization.

  • Since Joining NACA
Since joining NACA in 1991, I have learned more about the cat business than I could ever have learned on my own. I have met great adjusters and made a lot of friends in this industry. I have received valuable education and have had the opportunity to work every cat storm since 1991. This was possible because of the chances I have been given to meet so many important people through this Association, such as reps, presidents and owners of different IA companies and Insurance companies.

  • Its Been Good!
NACA stands for the only true source of independent adjusting info and support. All other sources I've seen seem to want to sell a product or an agenda. It promotes professionalism in adjusting and is self policing for the occasional "bad apple" we run across. It's a main source of education and continuing ed for adjusters. NACA offers training from novices to to those with many, many years of experience. But for me, NACA provides mainly a chance to meet with and learn from my compatriots and those with more skills and knowledge than me. The camaraderie is priceless. And it's run by professionals who have only the members' best interests in mind, both paid and volunteer. I became an adjuster in 1961 and joined NACA first in 1986 and just retired, and I'll miss it!

  • NACA Changed our Job into a Career
Before NACA we were struggling to work enough per year. We had one large IA Firm that knew our name but the rest of them didn't see that we had value over other new adjusters. NACA members gave us the leg up! They introduced us to their contacts and we got deployed. The money we spent on this Association has been paid back ten fold and we are experienced adjusters that are hired often by the NACA contacts we have.
